Kumara parvatha
1 / 2The Experience
The Kumara Parvatha Trek via Beedahalli is one of Karnataka's most rewarding high-altitude trekking experiences. Standing at 1,712 metres, Kumara Parvatha, also known as Pushpagiri, is the second-highest peak in Karnataka and lies within the spectacular Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. The Beedahalli–Kumara Parvatha–Beedahalli route offers a shorter approach compared with the traditional Kukke Subramanya route. The trek covers approximately 14 km round trip, with around 7 km of ascent and 7 km of descent. The trail takes you through dense forest, open grasslands, rocky sections and scenic Western Ghats terrain before reaching the summit. This is not just a walk to a viewpoint — it is a test of endurance, stamina and determination. As you gain altitude, the forest gradually gives way to open mountain landscapes, rewarding trekkers with expansive views of the surrounding Western Ghats.
